Cranial Sacral Therapy

Your brain is surrounded by your skull, which is made up 21 moveable bones which all move together. If a bone is stuck, which can be due to emotional or physical stress, from birth or from a more recent concern such as a blow to the head, these traumas can change the way the bones move and cooperate with one another. The skull bones protect the brain and they also allow for a fluid, called the cerebral spinal fluid, to move and coat the brain and spinal cord. These bones, together with the sacrum, create a pump that bathes the brain, feeding oxygen and nutrients, as well as removing toxins from your central neurological system. Because these bones affect the nutrition and toxic load of your brain and spinal cord, they will affect these areas’ ability to function optimally, which may widespread effects on your whole body.
